Two classes in 9th grade have discovered the coat of arms of different English-speaking countries with our English teacher, Mrs Ghodbane. We learned about the symbolic meaning of the animals, the geometric shapes and the colours represented in the emblems of the countries under study (Canada, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the United States). It was enlightening and interesting to understand the historical symbols behind these elements. After this first step, we had to create our own coat of arms to illustrate what we like, our personality and our values. In the photo below, you have some examples of creations we made.
